Delete your account and data

This page applies to the app Betterward (app id com.megaappsventures.betterward) by Mega Apps Ventures, LLC. It explains how to delete your data, what is deleted and when it is gone.
In the app
Under Me you can delete, separately:

If an option is not yet in your version of the app, or you can no longer use the app, ask us by e-mail (below).
By e-mail
Write to info@megaappsventures.com from the e-mail address of your account, subject "Delete my Betterward account". Say whether you want the whole account or only the cloud backup deleted. We answer by e-mail; an account deletion then follows the same 7-day timing with a cancel link. We will never ask you for your password or your recovery kit.
What is deleted with the account
- Account data: e-mail address, password hash, two-step verification, sessions, security events and the device list.
- Your whole encrypted backup: all records, any recordings, and your wrapped keys.
- AI usage counters and any other data linked to the account.
What remains, and for how long
- Host backups: our hosting provider keeps daily backups of the server for 60 days. Deleted data stays in them until they expire — at most 60 days after it was deleted from the live database, so up to 67 days after an account-deletion request. Your records are in them only as ciphertext; your account data (e-mail address, password hash, sign-in records) as stored.
- E-mail provider: Brevo keeps its log of the service e-mails sent to you under its own terms.
- Your own copies: the data on your phone and any export you made stay until you delete them. Deleting the account does not delete the app's data on your phone — use "delete the copy on this phone" or uninstall the app.
- E-mails you sent us stay in our mailbox until the matter is settled; ask us and we delete them.
